Our vision
Compassion, Hospitality and Justice
Our mission
Everyone deserves authentic community – MCM facilitates the transition from exclusion to community.

Service
We are committed to creating service opportunities characterized by respect, understanding, excellence, and inclusion, as well as opportunities for intercultural and intergenerational relationships.
Advocacy
We consider advocacy to be an essential part of our work: publicly documenting the injustices and struggles of the people we serve.
Gathering
The MCM community strives to meet regularly to advance our work and cultivate a sense of eunoia. These gatherings bring together newcomers, Canadians, staff members, students, volunteers, and supporters of MCM.
Eunoïa
We decided to name the spirit or culture that emerged from the S.A.G.E. mission using the Greek term “eunoïa,” which can be translated in various ways as “beautiful thinking,” “having a good spirit toward others,” and “the beginnings of friendship.” This notion reflects our understanding of the affirmative and enriching potential of participating in a S.A.G.E. mission.

Just Solutions
The first clinic of its kind in Québec
For more than 20 years, Just Solutions works to improve access to justice by providing free information, support, and legal representation services in refugee and humanitarian im·migration law
Just Solutions has been a pioneer in this field in Quebec, and has built a solid reputation as an important initiative for access to justice in humanitarian immigration law. The clinic often represents the last legal safety net for immigrants and refugees, for whom im·migration status plays a crucial role in their vulnerability and precarious situation.
A legal clinic accessible to all
Although there are no requirements to access our services, our clientele is primarily composed of im·migrant and refugees with a precarious immigration status or no status, such as rejected asylum seekers, refugees or protected persons (in particular those separated from their kids and/or family members), stateless persons, asylum seekers, or im·migrant and refugee women who experience violence (including domestic violence, family violence, sexual assault, etc).
Most of our beneficiaries face multiple vulnerability factors, such as mental health problems, disabilities, domestic and sexual violence, or financial insecurity. Our clinics offer legal services to inform these people, equip them with tools, guide them through the legal system and processes, help them overcome certain systemic barriers, and regularise their situation, while also offering them a listening ear and support. Our employees are trained in law and/or social work
